SPIRITUAL WARFARE: “Listen to those beautiful song birds,” my friend said, as he tuned his ears to a musical pitch I can no longer hear. “What are you talking about?” I answered. “I’m talking about the birds up there in the tree” he responded. With a knowingly dry sense of humor, I replied, “There are no birds in that tree. I don’t hear a thing.” He just looked at me and said, “Really? You can’t hear them.” I’ve long lost my hearing at high decibels. Fortunately, I’m aware I’m deaf at anything over 80 dB. This roughly corresponds to spiritual warfare: invisible enemies. Are there song birds in the forest? Sure. Denying the music only makes me look stupid. What about demons? “Don’t exist!” you say? Really! What if you’re actually “deaf,” and there really are “demons in the forest?” This is information you should probably have. Besides, there are people who’ve “heard” them, and beautiful music is not on their agenda!

The Howard Pittman Story: Is the attached story true? Howard Pittman says it is. In 1978, he retired from the New Orleans Police Department, and is now a pastor. Does his experience square with the Bible? We think so, but that is something you will need to decide for yourself. We think there are lessons in this story that could change the way you live, and we include it in this section because the description of the demonic world is graphically portrayed. If you think spiritual warfare is something you're not already facing, you might want to read what Howard has to say about it.

Spiritual Warfare Newsletter: The attached newsletter gives a point-by-point explanation of how spiritual warfare works. It is useful for those looking for guidance, and gives a real-life illustration. We are including the entire newsletter, except for the identification of the authors. They may not agree with some of our positions on this site (which is a healthy expression of authenticity), and we always want to respect that in every believer. We also want to preserve our own freedom, knowing that our views are not mainline. We will say this much: the authors of the attached newsletter are mature believers with a vast amount of experience in the Christian faith.
