TRADITIONS:  Welcome to the section on religious traditions (or traditions which are influenced by religion)! To get right to the point, there are good traditions and bad traditions. This section is highly controversial, but I'm going to include it anyway for reasons of conscience. Paul once said, "Stand firm and hold on to the traditions that we taught you, whether by speech or by letter" (2 Thes 2:15). In contrast, Jesus railed at Israel's pastors for teaching man-made traditions in God's name. He warned His followers not to get involved in this kind of religion (Mat 16:11-12). If you don't think the church is guilty of ignoring Paul and disobeying Jesus, then we invite you to review the articles in this section. If you like what you read, it might lead to greater personal freedom in your spiritual life.
